About Sarah Beales
I studied at the Contemporary College of Homeopathy in Bristol, which is accredited by the Society of Homeopaths and the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths. Since qualifying in July 2020, I have been building my homeopathic practice in Dorset whilst working at the Contemporary College as registrar, supporting students of homeopathy in their studies.
I am also a musician – I have taught the flute for 30 years and still have a foot in the door at a local school in Dorset. I have sung in choirs variously over the years, and currently sing in a small group. We occasionally perform to raise money for local causes – the ‘rehearsals’ take place weekly, and involve tea, cake and a lot of talking!
Music is a beautiful example of the homeopathic principle at work. If the body were an orchestra, one instrument out of tune or time would affect the harmony of the whole. Keeping ourselves in tune helps sustain our vitality; and although music’s energetic quality cannot be seen, its effect on body and soul can be deeply felt.
“When something in the outer world resonates with your innermost being, a healing possibility arises. The homeopath is one who utilises this knowledge for the benefit of her patients, yet the homeopathic principle is at work all the time without anyone being aware of it. When a piece of music or a beautiful poem stirs your soul and moves you to tears, this is homeopathy…. Homeopathy doesn’t belong to anyone. It is one of the ways in which life heals itself.”
